Customer has observed an increase in steam turbine output by 2.5 to 3 MW, due to the higher vacuum achieved by the improvement in the cooing tower efficiency. At India Glycol Ltd. Kashipur we replaced splash fill of existing induced draft cross flow cooling towers by PVC film type fill to increase its capacity by 25% and cooling by 1 deg C.
